Company Schmidt office supplies
Let us imagine a medium-sized company for office supplies. Mr. Schmidt is owner and managing director and has 12 employees - most of them in field service. The company's customers are located in B2B and B2C. In the B2B area, customers are frequently visited and advised by field service staff.
Like any company, Mr. Schmidt's company would like to expand its customer base steadily and manage it economically. He has opted for the Groupware Open-Xchange, for writing emails, maintaining contacts, organizing meetings and tasks. This is also used by all employees in the field service via the web interface. Some employees also use their smartphone in conjunction with Google Calendar to manage their appointments.
As a customer management system, SuiteCRM is used, with which Mr. Schmidt monitors and plans the business developments, creates sales forecasts and assesses the turnover of the individual employees. Some of the employees maintain the current customer status, offers and invoices in SuiteCRM.
By using several different systems, this means that every new or changed customer contact, every appointment and also every customer-specific task must be transferred by the groupware into the CRM system and possibly to the Google Calendar. All data in the systems must always be up-to-date so that the employees and Mr. Schmidt himself can work with the identical customer information at any time and any place.
The multiple data maintenance is very time-intensive, error-prone and inefficient. Deprecated data leads also on the customer-side to extra efforts and discontent. Trust in accuracy and quality of the company as such is decreasing.
With the Business Integration Server (B.I.S.), Mr. Schmidt can manage administrative customer care efficiently in a simple and cost-effective way. This is achieved by linking the office communication environment with the customer management environment. All relevant data are automatically synchronized. Manual data management is no longer required, and all employees always have access to the correct and up-to-date information.
Different user permissions within the end systems of B.I.S. are considered and only relevant data is displayed to each user.
